BoredKid.com is an independent online arcade for anyone with a few spare minutes and a browser. Pick a game, hit play, and try to beat the leaderboard. There is nothing to install and no account to create, and the games run on desktop computers, phones, tablets, and even in-car browsers.
What you can play
The library is built around classic arcade and puzzle ideas that are easy to pick up and hard to put down: snake, sudoku, pinball, a space shooter, a maze chase, and a falling-block puzzle. Each game has its own page with instructions, controls, and tips, so you can be playing in seconds.
How the games are made
Every game on BoredKid.com is written in plain HTML5 and JavaScript and runs entirely inside your browser tab. That is why they load quickly, work on almost any device, and need no plug-ins. Games are added and updated regularly, and the retro look is intentional: bright neon colors, pixel fonts, and the feel of a late-night arcade.
Leaderboards
Most games have a global high-score table. When you make the board you can enter a display name to go with your score. Names are public, so please pick a nickname rather than your real name. Scores that look automated or names that are offensive are removed. See our Terms of Use for the details.
Why the site is free
BoredKid.com costs real money to host and real time to build. To keep every game free to play, the site may show advertising from third-party ad networks such as Google AdSense.
